CONCERT CHORAL SINGERS (23 June to 8 July) (Concert Choral Singers range in age from early twenties to mid sixties)
With the Rome Festival Concert Chorus you will
perform two to four works with the Rome Festival Orchestra and two to
six works for chorus alone or with piano under the artistic leadership
of Maestro Fritz Maraffi and other international conductors.
You will visit the cultural treasures of Rome to learn how they inspired
composers. If you request the opportunity, you
will rehearse and perform chamber music, sing in vocal master
classes, and participate in diction classes. You will meet
instrumentalists, singers, ballet dancers, and designers from all over
the United States, Italy, and at least nine other countries. Through
these artists you will network worldwide for your personal and
professional future.
All your expenses of the Rome Festival opportunity may be covered by tax deductible gifts and grants through out 501-c-3 charity. Our charity receives many corporate matches. All tax payers and all non-profits may contribute.
We select singers
after the end of each month
for the summers of 2012 and 2013. When our charity has used
up all its financial support available for 2012, we invite choral singers for 2013. You should mail to our New
York address your application form and application fee during these
days.
In the upper right corner of the application form under voice type type or print CONCERT CHORAL INSTITUTE. With your application form you should include a few lines about your choral performances, because we do not require a cassette or CD audition if you have experienced several years of singing performaces. In a second envelope you may mail a cassette or CD recording of your singing two arias or art songs about two to three weeks after sending the first envelope.
Choral singers who come to the Rome Festival together with friends and/or family usually enjoy deeper and richer cultural and spiritual inspiration. Their memories last a lifetime.
